Work is progressing on development of the 3 new holes (see News for the latest position on funding, progress etc).
Layout of the new
holes
The diagram of the new 3-hole layout which has been shown
up to now (June 2008) is still being finalised, although it was
basically right. It has therefore been withdrawn, and will be replaced
by the latest plan as soon as it is available.
The greens will most likely be two tiered, and eventually
there will be a large lake as a hazard
reachable from two of the fairways.
The positioning of the
new trees will be chosen to enhance the look of the holes as well as
adding to the local environment for wildlife.

Our Long Term Objective is to own an 18-hole Course, maintaining the same high standards.
The short-term aims towards achieving the Long Term Objective are now:-
1) 2008/9. Achieve a lease for the Golf Club, and create three new holes with the aid of a grant from Sport England.
2) 2008/9. Carry out Captain's charity fund raisers throughout the year to fund a new tee to the side of the 6th green and extend the putting green to make a two-tier green, to be adopted into the new lay out by April 2009.
3) 2008/9. Carry out winter maintenance on the third fairway and complete new ponds / dykes.
4) 2008/9. Create new winter temporary tees and greens to improve playing conditions during the winter period.
5) April 2009. The extra 4 holes to be completed. Following the results of the new "Layout Competition", the revised order of play of the whole 13-hole course to be in general use.
